My little brother has left for Marine’s bootcamp in California for 13 weeks. I thought I would take those 90 days to build better habits, change some of the not so healthy things I do and be a better Molly. So I have set out on what I am calling ’90 Day Mind Body Soul Bootcamp’.
So here is where I will share some posts about different things I am doing or trying. Whether I like them or don’t. What benefits they have had and so forth.
This will fall into the category of What Else iS UP With Molly as the paddle boarding season is still a few solid months away. I don’t remember winter being this cold or lasting this long here in Texas last year. But man it’s putting a damper on my boarding.

Working on my Health
I decided to kick off my journey with a fast. I have done fasts in the past but nothing to this extent.
Here is what I did and how I did it! No food for 5 days, I was amazed with how great I felt.
One thing I am sticking to on this journey is eating in a window of time once during the day. I have also done this in the past but am liking it so far. Eating once a day is easy and even saving me money on groceries!
The one thing that I am truly restricting myself on is alcohol. I am not going to drink for the entirety of the 90 days. Did I think this one through? Not really. Are two of my favorite drinking holidays in this part of the year? Mhm yes they are. Mardi Gras and St Patricks Day will both be dry celebrations for me. Wahoo for Health!
Working on my Fitness
One thing I actually signed up for a little bit before the bootcamp but loved during it was ClassPass. It is an inexpensive and fun way to explore new fitness studios in any city.
I found that I loved a certain Yoga studio and was able to then get a membership there. But exploring other workouts around the town was fun.
Let me tell you a little more about my experience.
I came across two of the cutest gal’s who started their own business about health and wellness. With a yoga and kettlebell platform for better body movement. Needless to say I signed up for the 7 day challenge and did not regret it!
Yoga @ Black Swan
After checking out a couple of different places around Austin I decided on BSY. It has so many great options for classes at all times and a studio location perfect for where I live.
Working on my Soul and Mind
I watched the Netflix documentary called “The Minimalists” and just loved it. I have also been someone who doesn’t have a lot of stuff anyway, for most of my life all my belongings fit in the back of my car.
Working on being intentional about the things that I buy. But also all the things I allow into my life. The people, the experiences – always trying to make sure the things that I do have a purpose and bring my happiness.
Living for a better life!
Here’s to overall Wellness in My life and yours.
Reading Lots of Books
Something that I do anyway in my normal everyday life habits is read. I love to read. During this time of the bootcamp I am committing to reading more and trying to read books from different genres and types.
So far this year I have read 7 or so books. I will give you my opinion of each of those and if I should suggest you read them.
