I am so excited to share with you ever growing knowledge of the SUP world. Let’s get started!

Everyday I’m Paddling

Paddle Boarding has been an interest of mine for years and just more recently has become a staple in my identity. People know that I paddle board often and more importantly love to teach new people. Sharing my passion for SUP has become an important part of my life and as the popularity grows more people ask me about it.

My first adventure Paddle Boarding was at a country music festival at the Gorge amphitheater in Washington State. The campgrounds are not far from the Columbia River which is an amazingly beautiful ice-cold stream. My friend had brought along his inflatable SUP, it fit in the back of the car so I had no idea he even had it!

So surprise we took it down to the river and blew it up, it only takes a few minutes and you are off on an incredible journey in a new place!

I have tried many paddle boards, starting originally with an inflatable one that my mom bought at Costco if you can believe it! Growing up on a lake I am always in the water, swimming or boating. Where I grew up there’s only a few months of warm weather.

So getting in the water the other 9 months of the year is always a struggle. The Pacific Northwest is not known for being an all year water sports area. So when I found out how great Paddle Boarding was, and that if you had enough balance you don’t have to get wet, I knew this was the activity for me!

The Inflatable Paddle Boards at my parents house stay blown up all the time, which is so convenient. My board on the other hand I personally inflate and deflate each time I take it out. Even though this seems tedious and crazy, it makes it so I can do this amazing sport anytime even though I live in a tiny apartment!

Inflatable SUP – My Go To Board

If you read about my journey of paddle boarding – the stand up paddle board has been life changing for me. Not only that but living in Austin, Texas where there are tons of different bodies of water, the inflatable board has been amazing. So I am not locked down or committed to one area of the city, I can pack this baby up and take it anywhere!

So here I am, to explain to people the benefits of boarding in general. But also to promote the idea that inflatable ones will make you are adventures easier and more spontaneous no matter the size of car you drive or house you live in.

Recently with posting videos of myself on the SUP I have had many people reach out about what kind of board I have and if I would recommend it or something else.

I figured building a blog website to share my journey and my recommendations would be helpful! So people can make an educated decision for themselves.

  • Wow I REALLY like the name (I had no idea SUP stood for Stand Up Paddleboard and thought you were just saying “Hey Whats up! I’m Molly” XD) The pictures are great, well placed, and go with the content and I really enjoy the “puns” like “Every Day I’m Paddling” (at least I hope that was a pun…when I read it I immediately thought of “Everyday I’m Shuffling”

    • Kristina!! You just made me so happy, hahaha I am so glad someone got my little pun there thats what I was thinking too when I wrote it. Thats awesome.
And yes SUP is a less known acronym these days, but I am making it more popular as the days go by! Glad you had time to check out my site.
Have a great rest of your week.

  • After reading about your journey and seeing your awesome photos… I definitely do feel ready to learn more about SUP! It looks so beautiful and peaceful being there on the water. I’ve done SUP just once before on a lake in Canada and it was awesome.

I didn’t know there were inflatable paddleboards, that’s so cool! That sounds like a good investment, especially when I wouldn’t maybe have much space for a non-inflatable one. Thank you for this, Molly!

    • Danny,
That is absolutely one of the best parts of the inflatable boards. Most people don’t have a ton of extra space for paddle boards or any sort of toys. Houses are full of things already! What a great opportunity to try something new without having to make a huge space commitment. So true.
Let me know if you end up wanting to do some research into which one to get, I would love to help.
