So BoopBod – kind of a funky name but a really awesome company started by two women.
Seeing a need in the fitness and overall wellness world for a program that you could do at home. A program that would help to motivate you and successfully reach your health and wellness goals.
I found them at a time when this is something I was looking for and really needed. They did a 7-day bootcamp program where you pay only $29 and get a glimpse into everything they do.
These ladies are big in meditation, kettlebells and yoga! Yoga being the thing that attracted me most. With chronic back pain for many years I was searching for a way to get my body moving and hurting less.
7 Days to Better Mobility
This program is all online, with video clips, photos and explanations of all the stretches and work you can do to move better! Mobility is super important and is something most people are not sure how to achieve on their own. Sure people say stretch more and be more active. BUT HOW? These ladies got the degrees, have done the research and seen these methods work.
They provide you with 7 full days of materials from starting your day to ending your night with a meditation. Plus all you could need in between.
Everything in their program is made to work together, and build from step to step to achieve maximum results. But nothing by any means is required. Of course the more you do and try, the better results you will have. There were days when I did all the components and days where I only did the list of stretches.
With the link you receive in an email you get printables that will help you to journal and follow the schedule throughout the week. As well as access to modules with videos which show and explain each day’s activities.
These are now yours forever to keep. Lifetime access to these resources is now yours, after the 7 days it doesn’t just disappear! So if for some reason you missed a day, or want to skip the meditation for one day and come back – you totally can.
Emily is amazing, she gets down on the floor with you in each days’ videos and show you the moves and stretches. She talks you through everything so you cannot mess it up.
Plus there is bullet point important info and even the science behind why we do these things.
More than anything these stretches taught me so much about my body. Everything is connected, of course we know that from those middle school science class skeletons and anatomy. But if your neck is tight from the way you sit it can affect the entire rest of your back.
If your low back is hurting it could be because of the tightness in your neck or even in yours legs! It is easy to assume pain somewhere in your body is because that place in your body is over worked or under stretched.
They taught me a lot about fixing chronic pain in one place can actually come from working a stretching a compete different part of your body.
Was it the perfect week and am I fixed? No.
Of course in that week I did not work on and fix the entirety of my body’s problems.
But do I know way more about ways to fix problems? Yes.
Am I full of knowledge that can help me to continue these good habits and one day fix my problems? Again, yes.
So after just one week I have learned more than I ever thought. Each day I started feeling better and better.
They suggest adding in the stretches and movements that you felt the most beneficial to you. Because they know you cannot implement each and every thing they do in all 7 days into your morning routine. That would take hours!
But can you set aside 15-30 minutes a day sometime to just get moving in the right way? I sure hope so.
The hands down best part about this week was Emily. With my chronic back pain and wanting to specifically fit that, I was struggling when day 4 came: Low back & Pelvis day. I was bummed out after doing the work and not feeling immediate relief. Or feeling like I even found out what the problem may be!
After years of seeing different doctors, chiropractors, massage and physical therapists, it really sucks to not have a cure to my problem. So when I emailed her, she immediately got back to me with some tips and helpful tricks!
Emily was amazing and so inspirational. Full of knowledge she was able to pour into me some awesome things that she has learned. Push me towards figuring out what was going on and then slowly working to a solution.
Sometimes it really just feels so good to talk to a person, no automated email, did not take weeks for her to get back to me. I had heard from her within hours.
This was an incredible addition to their already great resources.
These ladies also threw in some great mediation to help you think and even better journaling prompts. Simple questions that really only took me as much time as I was willing to commit to answer.
Asking about me, helping me to grow my own understanding of my own body, lifestyle and how I prioritize things like wellness.
Just another simple addition to some great learning to expand your mind and learn about yourself.
Emily is working solo for now on Boop Bod as her partner has moved out to Cali for a different job and growth in there life. I would seriously recommend their program 10/10.
I have not had the chance to try their other programs but I know they would be good. They have ones specific to daily kettlebells or more yoga based than just moving your body and stretching.
